The Kaw Nation SouthWind Casino - Braman is located just south of the Kansas border off I-35 in Braman, Oklahoma. The phase II expansion opened in December 2015. The Kaw Housing Authority was established October 17^th, 1977, to serve low income Native Americans with affordable and adequate housing. We are a (TDHE) Tribal Designated Housing Entity located at #9 Kanza Lane, Newkirk, OK. We have served numerous families in our jurisdictional area which includes Newkirk, Kaw City, Ponca City, Blackwell and Braman.

We provide many services to our families, such as down payment assistance in the State of Oklahoma, college housing assistance throughout all states. These programs are explicit to our Kaw Tribal Members. We have other programs listed on our Facebook page that are subject to our jurisdictional area only. All policies and applications can be downloaded from our Facebook page. Our page is listed as Kaw Housing Authority.

Child Care Development

With increasing Native American populations, the Kaw Nation recognizes the need to assist families with their child care costs. The Kaw Nation CCDF program provides child care assistance to Native American families whose members are working or attending school.

The Kaw Nation CCDF program seeks to support Native American families in their endeavors by providing child care assistance. Our main objective is to ensure that each family has access to quality and convenient child care. We serve Kay County, Oklahoma and Cowley, Sedgwick and Sumner Counties, Kansas.

In partnership with the Kaw Nation, famed hard rock band KISS will be opening an Oklahoma-based casino, which is set to open its doors at some point of beginning next month. The band made famous by heavy hitting riffs and raucous antics on and off stage was a chart-topping ensemble of hair, makeup and sex appeal in the 70’s and 80’s. KISS is comprised of members Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley, and Tommy Thayer. KISS remains as iconic as they ever were in the music scene, as proven by their Hall of Fame induction in April, 2014.

Casino Venue

The venue will be another iteration of the Rock and Brews franchise, which already has dozens of establishments throughout the US and Mexico, including Oklahoma City, Dallas, St. Louis, California, New Mexico. The location its sure to deliver satisfying experiences to suit every palate while patrons rock out to tunes from the iconic band and enjoy the latest in casino gaming and entertainment.

The decision to open a dedicated gaming venue with the band’s iconic music and pageantry comes four years after members and marketing entrepreneurs struck a deal with casino software developer Williams Interactive to create a KISS-themed online slot machine. The Rock and Brews venture will be the band’s first foray into the casino resort industry.

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are the key members behind the agreement with Kaw Nation developers and outside investors. The casino will be located on sovereign tribal land near the Kansas border in the town of Braman along interstate 35. This isn’t the first endeavour the pair have undertaken with tribal groups wither, with the two already enjoying a successful gaming venue near San Bernadino, California with Serrano tribe members called the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino.

The Casino development follows an already established restaurant partnership with the group and Rock and Brews, which initially came to fruition with a 2013 restaurant opening in Torrance, CA.

In a recent interview with Fox Business, Simmons expanded on partnership details and the rapid growth of the brand. He outlined additional plans for the future and updates on the successful Rock & Brews ventures at Los Angeles International airport with interviewer Stuart Varney.

KISS Slot Machine

The iconic KISS slot is highlighted at more than a dozen land-based casinos in Las Vegas as well as several online casinos as a freeware feature. The 5-reel slot comes equipped with 100 paylines in a unique configuration. It is in fact the first slot to employ the Colossal reels feature, which is set up as two games within the slot itself.
